GOD'S LOVE IS THE SOURCE OF THEIR JOY

Bone cancer. That was the diagnosis.

Rajendra, 50, ran a pharmacy in the small town where he lived with his wife and two children.

But then came the illness — the hospital — the cancer. Medication and treatment? Terribly expensive. No guarantees of recovery. And mounting debt.

The entire family lost all hope.

But a Dayspring International men's film team working in the area visited Rajendra's home, and their joy was infectious. They shared God's love, and quoted Scripture pointing to Christ's compassion for the suffering. Rajendra and his wife felt strangely comforted — and agreed to attend the next Dayasagar™ film showing.

There, the couple watched spellbound as Jesus demonstrated His divinity through His words and actions. They marveled at His power that was capable of raising people from the dead, and they were amazed that in spite of it, He humbly submitted to a cruel death on the cross.

After the film showing, as one of the team members spoke of God's sacrificial love and His gift of eternal life, the light seemed to go on for Rajendra and his wife. Suddenly, it all seemed so clear and easy. They realized they never had to live without hope. The same infectious joy of those visitors now became their own!

Today, Rajendra and his wife are happy followers of Christ. Health challenges? Yes, they continue. But there's no despair in Rajendra's household... because Jesus' love has become the source of their joy!
