A LIFE TRANSFORMED BY JESUS!

Annapuranamma comes from a traditional religious background. She used to earn a living from selling alcohol - a home-made brew she bottled and sold.  She became addicted to the alcohol after her husband died and she was left alone - a widow with no children.

Then one day, Annapuranamma overheard some neighbors talk about a group of women screening our all-Indian acted Life of Christ film, Dayasagar. She heard them say that the film was powerful and had had a great impact on one of them. Annapuranamma laughed to herself. "How can a film based on a man's story be powerful?" she scoffed. Though for some reason she was unable to forget about the film, so finally she went to a showing in order to critique it.

Annapuranamma reached the film showing and sat in front, intending to disrupt the crowd if she found something objectionable in the film.

At first, Annapuranamma watched with skeptism, but as the film progressed, she got involved in the plot.  She admired Jesus' courage and by the time He was arrested and sent to trial, she was totally drawn to Him, and the tears streamed freely down her face during the crucifixion scene.

After the showing Annapuranamma met with the team members, and explained how she had previously rejected Jesus, but that the film had helped her realize how much He loved her.

Annapuranamma chose to follow Jesus - she was set free from alcoholism, gave up brewing and selling liquor and today is more happy than she has ever been in her whole life.
