HEALED AND FOLLOWING THE LOVING GOD!

Mallesh’s family was extremely concerned about him. It had been months since he was able to rise from his bed and perform any activity. His siblings missed talking and doing activities with him. His parents were extremely concerned about his condition. They had done everything they could to help Mallesh.

Mallesh was taken to several doctors, but all the tests that were run came negative. The doctors were perplexed. Without a definitive diagnosis, they could not treat Mallesh. Having received no answers from the doctors, Mallesh’s parents turned to their traditional religion. They organized special religious ceremonies to cleanse their home from evil so that Mallesh would be healed. Every morning, Mallesh’s father spent an hour praying before the family gods, but no positive answer was received.

Then one day, a Dayspring film team came to Mallesh’s home. The team had been visiting homes in the area and had heard about Mallesh’s condition from a neighbor. Although they knew full well that Mallesh’s family would in all probability reject them, they decided to try anyway and asked the neighbor to take them to Mallesh’s home. They knocked at the door and to their pleasant surprise, Mallesh’s mother gave them a warm welcome.

As they talked to Mallesh’s family, the team members sensed their love and concern for Mallesh. They asked if they could meet Mallesh and his parents agreed. Mallesh laid stoic on the bed in his room. He refused to say anything.

The team members introduced themselves and announced that they had brought a movie for Mallesh to watch. Mallesh’s face lit up. His family gathered around him as the team members arranged their film equipment and started the Dayasagar film. All of them were extremely quiet through the course of the film. They seemed to be watching the film show with great interest.

After the film show, Mallesh’s parents asked the team many questions about the Jesus. They seemed to grasp that there was something extraordinary about Christ. The team members were delighted to answer their questions. All the while, Mallesh listened carefully to them. Then before the team left, the Mallesh’s father asked them if they would pray over the son. The team gladly agreed. With their heads bowed, they asked God to shine His light into Mallesh life and restore him completely. Silently, Mallesh, too, prayed for the first time to the Living God.

A few days later, the Dayspring team heard from Mallesh’s father, who excitedly told them how Mallesh had gotten up from his bed the next day and was himself again. Mallesh’s father said that as a family they believed that Jesus had accomplished this. He asked the team members if they would be willing to visit the family and tell them more about Christ.

Mallesh and his family are now following Christ diligently. Their lives have been transformed incredibly through God’s love and grace. They say they will never forget the day a group of young people came to their home and showed them a film of everlasting hope.
