After the crucifixion, the Disciples of Christ had a hard time believing that He had arisen from the grave. When He appeared in the midst of the apostles, the Bible says they were afraid - afraid that He was a ghost! They needed Him to sit down and break bread with them so they could see Him eating before they were quite comfortable with the resurrection.
Jesus was patient and caring with those He loved best, doing whatever they needed (eating, standing still, offering His nail-scarred hands), in order to convince them of the resurrection power. He is still as patient to demonstrate His reality to you and me today.
This is what makes the gospel so unique. It is God's way to man. He himself is our bridge across the fiery gulf that separates us from God. He desires to open our understanding about His love for us. Everything else is religion. All else is man's way to God through works we have done. But God's way of salvation is through what He has done for us. He desires to walk along beside us and teach us who He is. Just as He did on the road to Emmaus. (See Luke 24:13-29.)
Yes, movies have been used to promote evil to the generations, but I have seen the great power for good that movies have. I believe they are a tool that God intended for good - to demonstrate the reality of the living Jesus and His love!
Our Life of Christ film shows the villagers of India the reality of God's love, the saving power of Jesus, and the absolute truth of the resurrection.
