Meeting Practical Needs Opens Spiritual Doors

The pain and suffering in many villages of India can be overwhelming.  We know that Jesus took time to minister to the felt needs of the people - touching, healing and setting free. We follow his example by sponsoring humanitarian teams that are vital to our effort to share the love of Christ in the villages.  They are called Good Shepherd Teams.

Good Shepherd Teams are an innovative venture to help the poorest of the poor, those living in the slums of India.  The aim of these teams is to proclaim the love of Christ, both in word and in deed, and to see caring Christian commitments established among the poor in partnership with local churches and mission groups.

Through these teams, Dayspring is providing education for children who otherwise could never have an education, offering self help, literacy and job training for their parents, overseeing medical and dental clinics, and other development projects.

While our mission is clearly to proclaim the gospel to the unreached in the most effective manner, as quickly as possible, we know that compassionate humanitarian effort is also essential to effective communication of the Good News.

Because of You

Natraj was born into a Hindu family that worshiped spirits in the woods. But when he was in the 5th grade, our Life of Christ film came to his village. It changed his life! And at that moment, Natraj knew his destiny was tied up with our Life of Christ film and becoming a film team leader himself.
