CIVIL RIGHTS: NOT JUST FOR HINDUS ANYMORE
GOOD NEWS FOR INDIA'S BELIEVERS!
U.N. REPORT UPHOLDS CIVIL RIGHTS FOR ALL!
You probably read about it in late 2008: The worst communal violence against Christians in the history of modern India!
At least 70 dead and 50 still unaccounted for — just after the visit of a U.N. official who was researching civil rights.
The resulting special report contained good news for India's Christians!
The All India Christian Council says the report is a ringing endorsement of religious rights for Dalits, believers in Christ, and all Indian people.
"The latest report notes 'the religious diversity of India' but warns that a 'system of impunity emboldens forces of intolerance' and that extremist groups advocating religious hatred have unleashed an all-pervasive fear of mob violence," says an AICC press release.
"It also calls for an end to religious discrimination in the eligibility of Dalits for the affirmative action system."
Let's pray that the Indian people will take note and vote for secular authorities who will defend civil and religious freedom.
