The timeline below is a snapshot of what happens hundreds of times each evening as our mobile film teams show the life of Christ film in villages all across India:
5:00 P.M.
The team prepares for a film show in a village 10 km away and 8,000 feet above sea level accessible only by steep, narrow roads with treacherous curves and cliffs. They test the film equipment, then load the heavy pieces into their vehicle. A local pastor joins them before they head out. Earlier that morning, the team members had already visited the nearly 300 homes to invite the people — mostly farmers and Hindus — to watch the film.
5:30 P.M.

After only two km, the vehicle stops, halted by a serious engine problem. The pastor flags down a passing car to hitch a ride. Team members unload the equipment from the broken-down vehicle, reload it into the new car, and continue on their way.
6:30 P.M.
They arrive at the village. There is no suitable ground to show the film because the village is situated on a hill, so the team finally decides to screen the film on the wall of the highest house. To do that, they need a higher platform for the projector. Thankfully, their vehicle has been repaired and brought to the village just before the film is to begin. Improvising, team members set the projector on top of their vehicle.
7:00 P.M.
The team starts the film and is surprised that people have already gathered. Even the local pastor is surprised by the turnout — usually people who live in the hills stay

indoors after it gets dark. But these villagers don shawls and woolen blankets and brave the cool weather to watch the film for three hours.
10:00 P.M.
By the time the film is finished, some 150 to 200 people are there. Many people stay to talk to the team about the life of Jesus and the team distributes booklets and New Testaments. A Hindu truck driver tells the team members that he is an alcoholic and he wants to quit drinking, but cannot break his addiction. The team shares about Jesus and prays with him — that night the man, like many others, makes a decision to follow Jesus.
12:00 P.M.
The team reaches their lodging, has supper and goes to sleep. But this is not the end... The local pastor has gathered addresses and agrees to visit with them the next week.
