Imagine you live in a country where the Lord Jesus Christ has never been proclaimed. Is it difficult to do? For nearly 11,000 nations of people on earth, it is a harsh reality. Yes, there are whole nations, some with tens of millions of precious souls, others with as few as 50,000 - all lost in spiritual darkness. But Jesus died for these precious people, too.
When Dayspring teams go into these unreached areas, there is but one objective. Leave behind a group of Christ followers, a Church. At every film showing there are those who want to trust Christ. Sometimes it is many, maybe hundreds. At other times it is two or three. While we speak of numbers, the fact is numbers are not what matters. Jesus came to seek and save the lost. And we know that even one new believer in a village can bring that whole village to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Dayspring is committed to the follow-up of new believers by cooperating with existing church-planting groups - or where none exist, organizing new ones. Often our teams are accompanied by the very pastor who will come to that village the next day to begin the long-term process of discipling these babes in Christ. More than 2,000 such churches have already been established.
The Great Commission is not fulfilled unless we proclaim the gospel, baptize new believers and teach them. That is our commitment.
