More than half of India's Dalit (oppressed) population are children. Forty million are in bonded labor. Recently, our leaders in India met with the top Dalit leaders. They said, "We want to give you our future, our children." They pleaded, "Come and teach our children about your Jesus. Teach them your scripture."

To help answer that call Dayspring has already helped establish Dalit Education Centers. Our goal is to impact the lives of hundreds of thousands of children and their families each year. Each center begins with kindergarten through grade 4. A class is added each year thereafter. By offering an excellent education to these outcastes we will empower them to touch their nation for Christ. DECs are not only a Primary Education Center for children but also an Adult Literacy Center and Discipleship Training Center as well.
